The Rain
Christopher Frith 2004
On the day you left me.
You left me cold alone and torn.
Pieces of my broken heart, shattered on the floor.
The pain I felt inside my soul, was one I’d never known.
As the clouds began to gather, and the rain began to pour
The rain it poured down my face.
As I longed for your sweet embrace.
While the thoughts of you kept turning in my cold and darkened mind.
The rain it flowed with my tears.
As they fell to the jaded ground.
And scorched a trail of crimson through the love I’d once found.
I will never understand.
Why things aren’t as we had planned.
I thought we’d spend forever in the arms of one another.
Will the rain wash all this pain away.
You slammed the door and ran away, with my heart it torn a sunder
The rage I felt began to build, but I knew that I loved her
In this heart that once was loved lyes the shards of dreams now dashed
And now the thunder it grows louder.
As these rays of light now crash
The rain it poured down my face.
As I longed for your sweet embrace.
While the thoughts of you kept turning in my cold and darkened mind.
The rain it flowed with my tears.
As they fell to the jaded ground.
And scorched a trail of crimson through the love I’d once found.
I will never understand.
Why things aren’t as we had planned.
I thought we’d spend forever in the arms of one another.
Will the rain wash away, these broken memories tonight

I'm ugly....Don't look at me!

Without Rain, nothing could be cleansed. Without Fire, nothing could be valuable. Without Wind, nothing could fly. Without Creativity, nothing would be pleasurable. And without the Soul, nothing would matter.
